About me
Hi Huron!
I am a third year student pursuing a double major in GLE and philosophy.
Whilst I am originally from Mexico, I have called Huron home for the past 3 years, being involved in the community as a bartender, club executive, International student officer, research assistant and more!
I have been planning events for as long as I can remember, from organizing my higschools graduation, to hosting Hurons Latin nights, hosting Latin events in London, to helping organize and execute most of campus events this past year.
I am extremely passionate about our Huron community, and I am more than excited to use my full understanding of Huron events to bring the best events to the community I love.
My approach
More Events, Greater Events
As VP Events I want to enhance and elevate our events to the next level, revisiting and enhancing our staple Huron events, and introducing many new an exciting events for our community.
I want to ensure that at leaste 1 event is happening every week, and to give students incentive to attend, experience, and be an active part in our academic and social community.
By having frequent evets, from large off campus events like going to a world-cup match, to enhancing club events, to smaller trivianights, karaoke events, and painting afternoons, I want to ensure that there are exciting events for all different interests on campus.
I also want to ensure feedback is constantly shared and recieved, and having been on campus most of my time this past 2 years, I know that having an approachable on-campus presence is the best way to recieve it.

I support Andrés for the position of VP Events! He is one of the most friendly, approachable, and helpful people I know. Whenever I see him working at The Dam, I stop by just to say hi—even when I don’t need a drink—because of his positive energy.
Andrés has always been incredibly kind and supportive. Whether it was during my time as HICA President or my internships on campus, he has never hesitated to offer help whenever he saw me working. Despite juggling so many responsibilities, he remains hardworking, excelling in academics while still bringing joy and enthusiasm to everything he does.
Andrés will manage the responsibilities of VP Events with the same dedication and positivity he brings to everything else and will continue to be the happy and fun presence we all love on campus
