Continuing Flagship Events

Mantaining our staple events and bringing them to the next level!

Huron Ball

Cheaper Tickets and a Themed Ball

The Huron Ball is a staple in our community, it enables us to get together and host a formal celebration for ourselves.

To lower ticket prices and make this event more accessible for our community, I will be looking to re-visit the approach, partnering with both internal (Student Engagement and Admin) and external partners to make a cheaper ball whilst keeping the same high-quality standard.

The theme should be more than just a dress code, so I’m proposing to host an activity in the ball fitted around the theme. This will help bring the ball to new heights, where the dining and dancing aspects remain intact, but there is also a fun activity which allows all of us to interact and have fun with the balls theme.

Fashion Show

A Huron Staple for Fashion and Charity

The Huron Fashion shows allow our community to raise money for a good cause and express our artistic creativity in an engaging and fun way.

To enhance this experience it is key to collaborate with community partners, not only as a charity, but also as a larger event in which the broader western and london community can come together for a good cause.

The fashion show coordinator should be hired during the fall hiring season, where they can start reaching out to community partners, planning, and advertising the event in advance so that it shines the way we all know it can.

The Grad Banquet is allready a great celebration for our graduating class, and there are a couple of improvements which can help bring it to a whole new level.

Having cheaper tickets for acompanying students, and allowing some students to bring 2 students to celebrate with them!

To make the logistics for the event even better, we will have a seating plan, together with a detailed schedule of activities pubished weeks before the banquet, so that we can all enjoy te event as much as possible!

Frost week should help us come back to campus, preparing for the upcoming semester, whilst having a week filled with fun and exciting events.

In order to ensure frost week is as useful and exciting as it sounds, frost week planning will begin in NOvemmber, giving the frostweek comissioner enough time to plan bigger and better events to start the semester strong.
